Team NeuroHope at 2017 Monumental Marathon!

For the third consecutive year, Team NeuroHope ROCKED OUT the Indianapolis Monumental Marathon and raised more than $7,000 in the process! NeuroHope Board Treasurer Allison Leeuw quarterbacked our team of 20+ runners, joggers and walkers (with an assist from Events Coordinator Justin Davis) to make our third year the largest yet!

A heartfelt and resounding THANK YOU goes to our entire team, and each and every one of the donors that pledged support to their individual efforts, and a special shout-out goes to the teams at Hensley Legal Group who came out in full force as race participants and volunteers with the Monumental organizers!

‘Dogs From the Dock’ Raises $6,000!

If you missed the fantastic pictures on the NeuroHope Facebook page from our “Dogs From The Dock” hotdog give-away at Lake Wawasee, we’ve got ’em below!

Yep, we served hundreds of hotdogs to hungry boaters all Labor Day Sunday to spread the word about our mission.  With a grill fired up at the end of the dock, a decked-out pontoon boat to spread the word, and a team of volunteers dishing out nets of hotdogs – we raised $6,000 and had a blast in the process.

This was the brainchild of NeuroHope’s Outreach Coordinator (and all-around rock-star) Justin Davis.  He deserves a HUGE thanks, and extra-hearty slap on the back!

A big thank-you also goes to the volunteers.  I have known many of them since childhood and they helped make the day so memorable: Ben Laviolette, Heather Reich, Alison Dixon, Chase Donohue, Derek Swanson, Andrea Palmquist, Kara Kern, Amy Adkins: you guys are AWESOME!

Justin and I also speak at length about the day of my injury, and my time in rehab.

This is an in-depth, 30 minute interview that sums up our mission and our journey beautifully.  Listen to the broadcast through the link below!
