Client Spotlight: Leo Achazain
A motor vehicle accident in 2024, resulting in a paralyzing L1 spinal cord injury changed 37-year old Telesforo “Leo” Achazain’s life forever. Like everyone who suddenly faces paralysis, his journey began with the fear and uncertainty of life after injury.
Leo rolled into the DRIVEN NeuroRecovery Center Powered by NeuroHope in November of 2024 and has been hard at work ever since! From locomotor treadmill training to over-ground walking Leo’s progress continues.
In the video below NeuroHope Neuro Exercise Specialists Steven Bowser and Tia Kempson use neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES) for patterned stimulation of the quads and glutes in assisted squats. Gaining strength to better assist in standing and steps. Recovery is a process – this why we’re here! ![]()
