New Mat and New Home for the New Year!
Our brand new Hi-Lo mat, and the first pieces of new equipment for our move upstairs have arrived!!
It’s all thanks to the $8,000 raised from Team NeuroHope and their supporters in November’s Indy Monumental marathon. To everyone who braved the cold that November morning to run and walk for NeuroHope: THANK YOU!! You froze your tails off for THIS MAT (pictured above)!
This is perfect timing for our move next month to a larger space donated by the University of Indianapolis in the third floor of the Southeast Community Services Building in Fountain Square. We have already outgrown the second floor Sutphin Center, and are eager to kick off 2016 in a new home.
It has been an INCREDIBLE year! Since we opened our doors last February, we’ve secured almost $50,000 worth of equipment, added Donna and Sara to our staff of therapists, received publicity in local TV and print media, passed a Medicare site-survey, and changed a state law.
Most importantly, we’ve helped 16 different people and their families along their difficult road to recovery – all while being open part-time.
Here are some snapshots of our amazing clients and therapists in action from our first 10 months of operation:
Our successful first year would not be possible without the collective support from each and every one of you!
You have helped us build NeuroHope from the ground up, and your continuing support will help us grow. We are turning heads to recognize the void in the continuum of care for individuals living with traumatic injury, and we have YOU to thank.
We look forward to BIG things in 2016!
